Night walking Tuesday 4th February 2014

Left Ynys Ddu 5pm rain had not stopped play walked towards the foot hills of Mynydd Islwyn.I looked back and caught an electric blue sky. Through damp fields we trogged where upon we found our path blocked by a swollen stream, the stream had overflowed in to a cascade. Took the lane instead torches out at the ready and made our way on to lower ground to Gelli Gorse Mill. The Sirhowy River roared past i managed to capture its back in the street light among the trees. Night air filled me with joy, you can not bottle this you have to go out and breathe it in. Carried on to Ynys Hywel and the cycle track where rain mixed with sleet kept us company. heard an owl screech above. Ynyns Ddu twinkled in the distance, the pub shone like a beacon we quickened our pace.
